The European Network for Smoking Prevention invites you to participate in this webinar symbolically organised between two key dates, namely World No Tobacco Day and World Environment Day, which are held on 31 May and 5 June each year respectively. The aim of this seminar is to address the next steps to take in the fight against second-hand smoke. Worldwide, 33% of men, 35% of women and 40% of children are exposed to second-hand smoke, even though they do not smoke themselves. The conference will address the following topics:
- The health effects of passive smoking
- Public health consequences and economic burden of passive smoking and e-cigarette emissions
- Europeans' position on smoking bans in indoor and outdoor places
- The effectiveness of anti-smoking policies in Europe
- The patient perspective
